Ayo, juicy folk happy Thursday, and rest in peace to AKA, an African giant in his own right. I hope today you’re juiced up from all the ‘love in the air’ and post Valentine’s Day high! Ideally, business was good and productivity stayed up, with profit being the order of the day. Florists made a killing, my girlfriend is happy and another Thursday this year got an episode.
I’m feeling the weight of brevity this morning as an experimentation exercise. So as Polonius once quipped in Shakespeare’s Hamlet, “since brevity is the soul of wit, and tediousness the limbs and outward flourishes, I will be brief.”
trapping productively
So today or rather yesterday actually, I lost my nice to five job at DentalHQ. The term for it at Zimworx is that I got offboarded, and the peace of mind I have with me at this point is mint! Just had my last Zoom call with Eric, my former boss, he’s been a class act since I first met him and he was class act till the end. Offered me a recommendation letter and dispelled any lingering feeling that would have bloomed into self doubt about my performance. I do good work, and unfortunately budget cuts dictate that my good work be done elsewhere.
This is an exciting development for me to be honest, now I can focus on JJR 24/7 and see what more productivity I can trap out of it. With the new additions we’ve made downstairs, I wont miss having to go upstairs everyday at 3PM. The only issue about this is my Dad, telling African parents you lost your job usually never ends well lol, but I got the second job anyway.

and that’s all folks
New challenges are on the horizon, surviving the obstacle course demands courage, bravery and ingenuity. Putting those to the test will be an enriching experience, I had grown weary of the safety net the day job had been providing, I can’t wait to find new ways of growing and creating my own safety net.

Thank you for sharing Bruceee!
I have always wondered how people handle job loss. It must have been a bit difficult but yet you shared. I hope someone draws strength from it. ✨✨✨✨
All my love, always. B🇳🇬
